I've been thinking about the best times of my life. Christmas 2003. South Africa. I saw family I'd never seen before and saw my grandpa for the last time. I spent 3 amazing weeks with my cousins and some of their friends, an amazing band called Southern Gypsey Queen. We went to Jeffreys Bay one day, the surfing capital of SA. Went to see another amazing band, Delta Blue. I dont think I've ever missed my family as much as I do right now. Summer on christmas day. Mad. I got sunburn so bad that my face blistered and still I was having the time of my life. It's day like that, that I miss. That's the life I want. Sun sand and sea. Family that i love around me. laughs and smiles. We spent 4 hours in the back of a pick up truck to get to my grandparents. I didn't mind. I'm still closer to my family over there than I am to my family over here. I dream of one day living there, with them. The way of life, it's just like... "this is it. this is the life"
and i've never seen so many curly haired men in my life... and in the words of Alexa Cheung - "Curly haired man are hot."
